Rod Wave is considering switching up his style

Florida rapper Rod Wave is best known for his melodic music that is designed to arouse emotions. Even though this musical skillset is the cornerstone for the 22-year old rapper’s career, he’s considering switching up the style.

On Monday (June 13), Rod fired off a tweet announcing that his upcoming album will be the last to feature sad music. ‘’On my baby’s dis my last sad ass album I’m off dat jus wanna live happy travel get dis money,’’ he wrote before adding in another since-deleted tweet, ‘’But das da growth doe. We all gone grow together.”

In May, Rod Wave announced that he’d be dropping a new album, Beautiful Mind, on June 3. He shared the message in ‘’Sorry 4 the Wait’’ freestyle recorded over Future’s ”Wait For U” with Drake & Tems.

”Okay, I’m done, I’m finally finished,” Rod Wave raps on the freestyle. ”I turn my album in Monday, hope y’all can feel that, You know this life that I’m livin’, get so hectic and busy, Tryna balance my love life and handle my business, Had to take me a minute to get my paperwork in order.” However, the album never arrived on June 3.
