42 Dugg faces five years in prison for evading prison sentence
Detroit rapper 42 Dugg is all smiles despite facing five years in prison. On Thursday (June 23), a fresh photo circulated on social media showing a smiling 42 Dugg posing with a fellow inmate. DJ Akademiks shared the photo on Instagram and G Herbo didn’t hesitate to slide on the comments calling for Dugg’s freedom.
The Free Dem Boyz rapper was arrested in May after landing in Detroit on a private jet. Dugg was picked up for evading a six months prison sentence. The sentence stems from a 2020 gun case that saw the rapper hit with three-year probation sentence.
Dugg tested positive for drugs last December and was arrested for obstructing law enforcement in Nevada. A judge consequently revoked his probation in February despite Dugg’s lawyer filing an appeal. Dugg was sentenced to six months in prison and was supposed to surrender himself in April but never did.
Shortly after he was arrested last month, Dugg’s first photo in jail surfaced showing him smiling while on jail call.
