Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Mr. Morale’ is still on rotation

Kendrick Lamar’s fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, has reached a new milestone on Spotify. The acclaimed body of work is the album to be streamed 1 billion times on the platform on 2022.

The album was released in May with features from Blxst, Amanda Reifer, Sampha, Taylour Paige, Summer Walker, Ghostface Killah, Baby Keem, Kodak Black, Sam Dew, Tanna Leone, and Beth Gibbons of Portishead.

The project landed atop Billboard 200 with 295k album-equivalent units. It became Lamar’s fourth number one album. It had the biggest opening week in 2022 at the time.
