Young Thug and Gunna could learn their RICO fate two months late

Young Thug and Gunna’s RICO indictment that involves 26 other YSL associates could see its trial date delayed for two months. According to Fox 5 Atlanta, Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis filed a 10-page motion on Thursday (October 6) to have the RICO trial date pushed back from January 9 to March 27, 2023. In the motion, Willis says a quarter of the defendants do not have legal representation and need time to find some.

“A continuance to the final week in March would protect the speedy trial rights of those who have asserted those rights, while also ensuring that the additional eight defendants have properly prepared appointed counsel,” Willis said.

The authorities are accusing Thugger of leading a criminal gang that reportedly committed murders and drug dealing.
