Rihanna earned her biggest streaming day on Spotify after returning with “Lift Me Up”

Iconic singer Rihanna made her highly longed-for musical comeback on October 28 with her new song, “Lift Me Up,” which is part of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever soundtrack that arrives next month.

According to a tweet by Chart Data, upon the release of the new single, RiRi was streamed almost 25 million times on Spotify in a single day, her highest number of plays for the Barbados artist on the Swedish streaming company ever. “Lift Me Up” itself has already garnered 8 million listens at the time this article was published.

The new record was written by Rihanna herself, Ludwig Göransson (who’s credited with production), and Ryan Coogler, the Black Panther director. According to Billboard, the song is a tribute to the late Black Panther actor, Chadwick Boseman, who passed away from colon cancer in 2020.
