Johnny J worked extensively with 2Pac

2Pac’s producer Johnny J’s wife files a lawsuit against the late rapper’s estate. Johnny’s wife, Capucine Jackson, amended an earlier suit to accuse Amaru Entertainment of keeping information about royalty payouts from her, Vigour Times reported earlier this week.

Johnny J worked with Pac on around 100 songs including 11 tracks on All Eyez On Me. In the first lawsuit, Jackson claimed Amaru Entertainment failed to pay a promised advance of $100K for work done by Johnny.

Jackson says Pac’s estate has particularly withheld information about monies collected by SoundExchange. The suit states that Amaru Entertainment “intended to deceive [her] by concealing the existence and contents of the SoundExchange royalty statements.”

“However, SoundExchange is the only platform that has withheld royalties owed to plaintiff, and that is completely due to the bad faith conduct of Amaru,” the lawsuit adds.
