Jay’s classic album finally earns triple platinum plaque
Jay-Z’s classic album The Blueprint has now been certified triple platinum by Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) 20 years after it was certified double platinum. Released in September 2001, it was certified platinum in October that year. It received a multi-platinum certification in May 2002.
Released through Roc-A-Fella and Def Jam Recordings as Hov’s sixth studio album, it became his fourth No. 1 album on Billboard 200 after it opened with 427K copies in the first week.
