Plies accuses the three rappers of stealing one of his hits instrumentals
Plies has initiated legal action against GloRilla, Megan Thee Stallion, and Cardi B, alleging that they infringed his beat for their hit song “Wanna Be”.
Per TMZ, the Florida rapper accuses the three female artists of biting the beat from his 2008 song “Me & My Goons,” which he says Soulja Boy first stole in his 2010 hit “Pretty Boy Swag”.
The core of the conflict is one particular element which Plies refers to as an “infrared countdown beat.”
The suit lists as additional defendants Megan’s Hot Girl Productions, as well as Collipark Productions, Universal Music Group, Yo Gotti‘s Collective Music Group, and Interscope Records.
