Dre is now impressed by Snoop’s handling of Death Row

Dr. Dre admits that he was not in favor of Snoop Dogg buying Death Row Records at first, but he has since changed his stance and now appreciates how the rapper has reshaped the historic label.

In a live interview with Drink Champs over the weekend, the iconic producer shared his thoughts on Snoop’s ownership of Death Row Records.

“Let me tell you something, man. I was so upset when I heard that Snoop was doing the Death Row shit at the beginning,” he explained. “Like, ‘N-gga, that shit has so much bullshit following it.’”

Dre, however, noted that Snoop’s way of handling the label began to grow on him. “But now, I’m so happy about it and so impressed at what my brother’s doing because he’s taken the thing that we created and brought it back to life,” he added. “I see his vision now. I appreciate it and I’m proud of it.”

Snoop, sitting beside Dre, was visibly moved by the compliment and responded: “That made me feel good. Thank y’all,” before adding: “Y’all tryna make a n-gga cry.”
