Kendrick Lamar Responds to Lil Wayne’s Super Bowl Comments and Snoop Dogg’s Support of Drake
The newest album of Kendrick Lamar called GNX is finally out and the Compton rapper talks in length about two of his Hip Hop idols, Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg.
Starting with the first song, “wacced out murals,” (Kendrick) talks about the backlash directed at him about the forthcoming Super Bowl halftime show which includes accusations that he blocked Lil Wayne from performing in his city of New Orleans.
“Used to bump Tha Carter 3, I held my Rollie chain proud / Irony, I think my hard work let Lil Wayne down / Whatever, though, call me crazy, everybody questionable / Turn me to an Eskimo, I drew the line and decimals,” he raps.
K.Dot later spits: “Won the Super Bowl and Nas the only one congratulate me / All these n-ggas aggitated, I’m just glad they showed they faces / Quite frankly, plenty artists but they outdated / Old-ass flows, tryna convince me that you they favorite / This is not for lyricists, I swear it’s not the sentiments / Fuck a double entendre, I want y’all to feel this shit.”
