Lil Baby’s ‘My Turn’ has been named the most popular rap album of the century
Lil Baby is celebrating a significant achievement: My Turn is his 2020 album, outraged as the most popular rap album after Billboard revealed the list of Top Billboard 200 Albums of the 21st Century. The chart that measures album performance from January 1, 2000, up to December 28, 2024, has placed My Turn at number eight in the entire rankings, ahead of Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album, Swift’s Folklore, or Adele’s 30.
The album is positioned among other famous projects of artisans like Post Malone, Hollywood’s Bleeding, and beerbongs & bentleys occupy ranks. Some of the most popular albums of the year include Future’s Future and Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN, which is at number 25. Another great artist that made the list is Drake, with Views coming in at position thirty, leading to the forty, which is Pop Smoke’s Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon album.
Baby’s My Turn is one of the great rap albums of all time, and Lil Baby is still set to rise with WHAM (Who Hard As Me). Debuting on January 3, it seems that WHAM is poised to start at the summit of the Billboard 200 with estimated first-week shipments of 115K – 125K album-equivalent units, another successful campaign from Magic Johnson in the annals of music.
