Megan Thee Stallion secured a five-year restraining order against Tory Lanez after his 2020 shooting conviction
Megan Thee Stallion has successfully secured a five-year restraining order against Tory Lanez, alleging that he continuously harasses her even while in prison. This is a result of a 10-year prison sentence for shooting her in July of 2020. According to reports, Lanez should not have come close to, threatened, or contacted the Houston rapper before contacting her, at least, on January 9, 2030. Also, will require him to remain 100 yards away from her.
Such a decision was made in Los Angeles on Thursday (January 9) during a court hearing. Megan testified via Zoom about how Lanez’s continued harassment affected her emotionally. “I haven’t been at peace since I was shot, and I’m just trying to be un-harassed,” said the report, which reported that Lanez’s activities affected the emotional well-being of the witness for the prosecution. “I just really want the harassment to stop from the guy who shot me.”
In addition, Megan said Lanez paid third-party bloggers to spread lies. She mentioned a payment of $3,000 made from Lanez’s father to blogger Milagro Gramz, although Megan is suing her for cyber-stalking and emotional distress.
Megan recounted in tears how the harassment led her to become anxious, saying, “I am just always nervous. I never had anxiety before this.”
