Court Date Scheduled Amid Ongoing Struggles in Migos Rapper’s Murder Trial
Patrick Xavier Clark, the man accused of killing Migos rapper Takeoff, is scheduled to appear in court on February 25, according to documents obtained by XXL. The upcoming hearing is part of the ongoing struggle to bring the trial to a resolution, over two years after the tragic shooting.
Clark was arrested in December 2022, a month after Takeoff’s death, and charged with murder. He was detained alongside Cameron Joshua, who faces weapons charges in connection with the killing. The shooting took place during an altercation over a dice game outside 810 Billiards and Bowling in Houston, Texas. Authorities believe Takeoff was an innocent bystander in the attack.
Clark was granted a $1 million bond in January 2023 and released from jail. Shortly after, a grand jury indicted him on murder charges. His defense attorney remains confident, stating that they will present evidence to prove Clark’s innocence when the case reaches trial. However, it is still unclear when the trial will officially begin.
Fans and loved ones continue to honor Takeoff’s memory, including a recent emotional toast shared by Cardi B and Quavo during a New Year’s Eve celebration.
