Ye doubles down on artificial intelligence ambitions despite controversy
Kanye West is not backing down from his vision for artificial intelligence in the creative space despite ongoing backlash surrounding his recent AI-generated videos. On January 20, the rapper-turned-entrepreneur announced that his Yeezy company is looking to recruit a team of AI engineers, film editors, architects, designers, and studio assistants. In his Instagram post, he made it clear that he’s looking for “WIZARDS ONLY” to help him push the boundaries of AI technology.
West’s bold new initiative comes after his controversial use of AI in his latest projects, signaling his commitment to integrating AI into his creative process in more significant ways. This move is part of a broader ambition, as Ye also revisited his “DROAM” plans to build a self-sustaining city in Los Angeles. Though his plans for DROAM have not gained much traction since their initial introduction, West remains undeterred in his pursuit of grandiose goals.
While fans are eager to hear new music, West hinted at two new albums for 2025: the third installment of his collaborative series VULTURES with Ty Dolla $ ign and a solo project titled Bully. Despite all the controversy and unfulfilled promises, Kanye’s loyal fanbase remains hopeful for his next moves, whether it’s in AI, music, or other ventures.
