A jury member was sentenced to three days for violating court rules

A jury member in Young Thug’s YSL RICO case has been sentenced to three days in jail for taking a video of court proceedings. Per Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jury 1004 was taken to jail in handcuffs on Monday (April 3) after the judge accused her of filming court proceedings on March 27.

“It wasn’t live-streamed at all,” the jury member said in her defense. “I did take a video and then the young lady next to me said I couldn’t do that.”

She added that she isn’t familiar with jury duties and that she didn’t know filming wasn’t allowed.

“I went through a very long and arduous process of telling people what they could not do and you violated that,” Chief Judge Ural Glanville said about the incident. “And you put this trial in jeopardy by doing that.”
