    Stormzy teases new release

    It’s been a quite the year in music for UK superstar Stormzy. The grime heavyweight dropped his PLATINUM comeback single “Vossi Bop” in April before his historical Glastonbury headline set just a few months later.

    The star also dropped the heartfelt “Crown” as the second single from his upcoming album, and featured on Ed Sheeran‘s “Take Me Back To London.”

    The hitmaker, seems to be teasing something new in his latest Instagram post is anything to go by.

    It’s easy to mistake Stormzy, as some sort of amateur boxer in the picture above, and as the caption reads, #SoundsOfTheSkeng is coming on the 6th September.

    Whether it be a single, an album, a visual of some sort is anybody’s guess. Fans have even speculated, that what’s coming is a dig at British Boxer Anthony Joshua, was just photographed working with his ex girlfriend Maya Jama.

    AJ Tracey and Jorja Smith team up for BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge

    Two of the UK’s finest artists – singer Jorja Smith and rapper AJ Tracey, came together for a special performance on BBC Radio 1 last week.

    Jorja had just recently brought out the West London rapper during her spectacular Glastonbury performance, for his hit “Ladbroke Grove” – which partly samples “Wandering Romance.”

    Fans went crazy incidentally, so it was only correct that AJ returned the favour. During their Live Lounge appearance , the pair recreated their earlier performance before surprising fans with blistering rendition of 2000 garage anthem “Flowers” by Sweet Female Attitude.

    The reaction to their cover has been so overwhelming, that AJ himself has acknowledged the demand for a studio version. Whilst we await more music from the dynamic duo, re-watch both Live Lounge performances below.

    Watch Dave live it up in his music video for “Location” ft. Burna Boy

    UK rapper Dave has at long lasted unveiled the video to his new single “Location” featuring Afro-fusion artist Burna Boy. The feel good track is a fan favourite taken from his debut album Psychodrama released in March, and has become somewhat of an unofficial summer anthem.

    The visuals follow the artist on his recent trip to Stormzy’s #MERKY Festival in Ibiza, an ironic foreshadowing of this tweet.

    Depending on your summer plans, the video will either get you in the mood or in your holiday blues. Either way, enjoy the video below and watch out for cameos from artists such as Stormzy, J Hus and Jorja Smith.

    Dave superfan Alex is the talk of Glastonbury

    21 year old rapper Dave, nicknamed ‘Santan Dave’ brought the heat to Glastonbury’s The Other Stage on Sunday Night. The South London’s powerful one hour set encapsulated the many different sides of the performer we’ve grown to know and love. The vulnerability and storytelling in his music is what sets him apart from peers, and standouts of the performance included the haunting “Psycho” and the emotional “Black.”

    OG Fans will know of Dave and AJ Tracey’s 2016 linkup “Thiago Silva” which is named after the Brazilian footballer. The rapid grime banger, is a live favourite and performed often by each artist at their respective shows.

    Dave shared his big moment by inviting superfan Alex on stage, to perform alongside him and absolute carnage ensued.

    What a beautiful moment and one that has captured the hearts of fans. This togetherness is what music represents. The connection between an artist and their fans is imperative, and we salute the young king Dave in blessing Alex with this opportunity. Big up to Alex for the confidence and this impressive skills on the mic – a moment he will surely never forget.

    Alex and Dave’s show stopping performance has turned into viral sensation, and rightly so. The video has accumulated over 8M views so far, and Alex has become something of an overnight superstar, being inundated with praise and media opportunities, and he has reached almost 30K followers on Twitter. He is literally living his best life and it’s a joy to watch..

    Congratulations to Dave once again on his success, and the boundaries he is breaking as an artist. Guaranteed, it won’t be too long until he’s up on the Pyramid stage.
