The group had previously announced 3008 The Las Vegas Experience, a series of 15 shows for the first half 2025, set to kick off on February 15. However, on Sunday (January 19), the group shared the news via an Instagram Story that the performances would not move forward due to “current circumstances.”
The brief announcement did not provide specific details, but it assured fans that ticket providers would automatically issue full refunds. The group also promised to update fans on future performances and expressed excitement for future shows.
When the residency was first revealed, will.i.am shared the group’s grand vision for the show, drawing inspiration from theme parks, technology, and interactive experiences. He envisioned a performance that would push the boundaries of live entertainment, combining elements of a concert and a play as they transported fans into a futuristic experience set in the year 3008.
The venue, PH Live, recently hosted 50 Cent’s Vegas residency, which received mixed reviews. 50 responded to criticism by emphasizing his unique style, contrasting it with the performances of artists like Usher and Chris Brown, noting that his shows are far from the traditional “rollerblading” performances.
