Boosie Is Looking to Twitch for New Revenue Stream
Boosie Badazz is stepping into the world of live streaming, officially launching his career as a Twitch streamer. The Baton Rouge rapper announced on January 14 via X (formerly Twitter), sharing the link to his brand-new Twitch channel, which at the time was empty. In his post, Boosie called on popular streamer Kai Cenat to help him get started, asking his followers to subscribe to his new channel.
“Ay, I’m on Twitch now,” Boosie said in the post. “Kai Cenat, I need you to tell your subscribers [to] subscribe to Boosie’s shit.” He expressed excitement about trying out Twitch, saying, “Instagram Live ain’t working. I’m finna Twitch this bitch up. I’m finna turn UP!”
Boosie’s move to Twitch is likely part of his strategy to diversify his income streams, especially with the news that he expects his ninth child with fiancée Rajel Nelson. In November, Boosie revealed that they were having another girl, and the rapper shared the gender reveal clips with fans on Instagram.
Boosie isn’t the only rapper turning to streaming. Kodak Black made headlines in October for his dramatic first stream on Kick, where his car caught fire during the broadcast. Now, with Boosie joining the fray, it seems like more rappers are discovering the potential of the streaming world.
