Cardi B gives back to her old elementary school
Cardi B feels very appreciative towards her former elementary school I.S 232 in the Bronx, New York. Bardi visited the school this week to celebrate the year it was founded and left a whopping $100,000 surprise donation.
The rapper also gave a passionate speech during the event where New York City Schools Chancellor David Banks and Community Capacity founder & executive director K. Bain were present. She suggested after-school programs to be introduced to the school.
“I hope my donation can help create an amazing after school program that will help kids stay out the streets or a troubled home and most importantly allow them to learn something that they can take with them through LIFE,” the 26-year old rapper wrote on Instagram.
She added that she has something in store for the kids that she’s been working on for two years. “I love being able to help young kids however I can and I can’t waiiiittttt to tell y’all what I’ve been working on for the past two years. It’s something super close to my heart and I can’t wait to share very soon.”
