Casanova surrenders against sweeping indictment
Brooklyn-based rapper, Casanova, has surrendered himself to the authorities after he was named in a gang take down of an alleged Bloods faction gang that goes by the name “Untouchable Gorilla Stone Nation” earlier in the week, via.
The 34-year old rapper, whose given name is Caswell Senior, is among 18 people who have been accused of being members of the ‘Gorilla Stone’ gang. The rapper has been charged with racketeering conspiracy, firearm possession, and conspiracy to distribute controlled substances.
According to the acting U.S Attorney Audrey Strauss, the gang is responsible for multiple crimes in NY including gun violence, drug trafficking and fraud. “Members of Gorilla Stone committed terrible acts of violence, trafficked in narcotics, and even engaged in brazen fraud by exploiting benefits programs meant to provide assistance in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Audrey Strauss.
Back in 2018, Casanova was taken into custody on assault charges after he reportedly punched a woman who was trying to take pictures of him. If all these charges stick, the rapper might be facing up to life in prison.
