R&B singer reflects on mental health during European tour while awaiting trial in the UK
Chris Brown has opened up about how he copes with the isolating nature of fame while touring abroad. In a recent Instagram post, the R&B superstar shared a series of nighttime photos taken during solo walks in various European cities, explaining that the practice helps him stay “grounded.”
“Fun fact: I like to sneak out by myself when I’m in different cities,” Brown wrote. “It helps me feel human and normal. That’s really important for my mental due to the fact that I just can’t walk around freely during the day. Keeps me grounded.”
He added, “Being secluded from some parts of everyday life activities will drive you insane being isolated all the time. Cook, remain humble and grateful!”
Brown’s comments come amid a turbulent chapter in his life. Last month, he was arrested in Manchester and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent in connection to a 2023 nightclub assault in London. He was initially denied bail but was later released after posting $7 million and agreeing to strict conditions, including living in the UK and surrendering his passport.
Despite the legal drama, Brown continues his Breezy Bowl tour, with international travel allowed under his bail terms. His criminal trial is expected to proceed later this year.
