Doja partners with the Red Cross for limited-edition merch, while The Game provides shelter and support to evacuees and firefighters
Doja Cat has joined the fight against the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles by teaming up with the American Red Cross for a limited-edition merch collection to support wildfire relief efforts. Collaborating with fashion illustrator Pini, the collection includes hoodies and T-shirts, with 100% of the proceeds going to those affected by the fires. The merch launch is a personal cause for Doja, as her 2023 album Scarlet was recorded at Harbor Studios in Malibu, which was destroyed by the fires.
The limited-edition items can be purchased through the link shared by Doja in her social media posts. She encourages her fans to contribute to the relief efforts by purchasing the items.
Meanwhile, The Game, another Los Angeles native, has also been working tirelessly to help the victims of the fires. On January 8, the Compton rapper announced that he and his talent manager, Travis Wilson, were providing shelter for 10 families impacted by the fires by offering them free stays at Airbnb for a week. He posted on his Instagram Stories: “Me & [Travis Wilson] are helping 10 families affected [sic] by the fires here get into @airbnb for a week free of charge.”
In addition to helping displaced families, The Game has been actively supporting firefighters on the front lines. He has been seen delivering essential supplies such as food, water, blankets, and hot drinks to those fighting the fires, which have claimed dozens of lives and devastated thousands of acres of land. Sharing his experience on social media, The Game praised the dedication of the firefighters: “The hearts & level of humility in each & every soul down here is a beautiful thing to witness & be a part of.”
The Game also expressed his deep concern for the victims, adding, “My heart goes out to each and every person directly affected and those watching from all over the world who are mentally in pieces over what has happened in my city.” He further encouraged his followers to stay engaged and assist in any way they could, sharing links and information for others to contribute to the cause.
Both Doja Cat and The Game have received widespread praise for their efforts, with fans and fellow artists applauding their commitment to helping those impacted by the devastating wildfires.
