Drake cleaned up at the 2024 Billboard Music Awards after winning three key prizes, among them the prestigious Top Rap Artist on Thursday (December 12).
This accolade for the Top Rap Artist went to Drake in a neck-and-neck battle against some of the heavyweights in the industry – Kendrick Lamar, Future, Metro Boomin, and Travis Scott. Except Scott, all these artists had earlier engaged in a furious clash of musical rivalry with him this year, calling out each other in various tracks.
The Top Rap Album Award went to Toronto’s artist’s For All the Dogs, even with the competition from such heavyweights as 21 Savage, Future & Metro Boomin, Nicki Minaj, and Rod Wave. He also won the Top Rap Male Artist award against Kendrick Lamar and Scott.
Kendrick won the Best Rap Song honor for his Drake diss track “Not Like Us,” leaving the ceremony with something.
