Atlanta rapper reflects on fan support and perseverance in candid interview
Gunna has expressed heartfelt gratitude to his fans for sticking by him through his legal troubles and tensions with YSL. In a new interview with will.i.am for Uproxx, the “Fukumean” rapper recalled the powerful emotions he felt during his return to live performing after jail.
“It’s one of the best feelings in the world… I got die-hard fans, for sure,” he said.
He also delivered a message of resilience:
“Never give up. Don’t stop, especially when they want you to stop… Pray until something happens.”
Since his 2022 Alford plea deal in the RICO case, Gunna has faced snitching accusations — something his former attorney, Steve Sadow, has strongly denied. Sadow clarified that Gunna’s plea did not impact Young Thug’s trial and that he was never listed as a witness.
Despite the backlash, Gunna has maintained commercial success and recently launched a $500K initiative to support Atlanta families — further proving his commitment to both growth and giving back.
