    Drake’s Air Drake jet was designed by Virgil Abloh

    Drake’s private jet is a Boeing 767 nicknamed “Air Drake”, the $185 million Boeing 767 plane was redesigned by Virgil Abloh.

    Drake purchased the Boeing 767-300F for a reported $185 million USD as part of a partnership with Canadian freight airline Cargojet.

    The late Louis Vuitton/Off-White head designer wrapped the plane is blue skys and white clouds, similar to Drake’s “Nothing Was the Same” album cover, the plan definitely is an Ode to the cover.

    The plane sits 30 people and towards the engines (The plane has two General Electric CF6 engines) you see the name of the plane “Air Drake” labeled on it. Virgil put Drake’s signature OVO owl logo sitting atop a globe on the tails. You can also see Virgil’s “VAA” logo. The plane was “Abloh Engineering”.

    On the bottom of the plane, you can read: “If you’re reading this we left.” That’s another ode to Drake’s 2015 mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late

    Future’s ‘Wait For You’ was originally a Kanye West song

    Future scored his first No. 1 song on Billboard 100 last month with ‘’Wait For You,’’ a hit record that featured Drake and Nigerian songstress Tems. The song has been shaking the airwaves and has already been certified platinum.

    According to ATL Jacob, who co-produced the track, Kanye West first recorded over the beat but never turned in the finished song. Jacob made the revelation during an interview with B High Atl.
    “What’s crazy is before ‘WAIT FOR U’ came out, that was one of [Kanye’s] favorite songs,” Jacob explained. “He was like, ‘Man, this record crazy!’ So we was trying some stuff on it but you know, we just ain’t get to the point where we actually finished ‘WAIT FOR U.’”

    In a separate interview with Complex last month, Jacob said that Future had ditched the beat at first, but requested it later on.

    “I made it about a year ago … and I knew I was going to give it to Future. Then he skipped it,” Jacob said. “But we were talking the other day when we were at Drake’s house, and he said he skipped it because he knew it was one of his favorites. He said he listened to that beat every day for a month straight … and he knew what he was going to do to it.’’


    “A long time went by like, six or seven months. So I was like, let me try the beat with another artist, since he ain’t like it. Then he called me and said, ‘Hey, don’t ever get this beat out to nobody else. I got a crazy song on it.’”

    The album debuted at 46 on Billboard and received mixed reviews. The album’s title track was a standout in addition to the single “Backdoor” that announced Durk’s return in December 2020.
