Cole Hints at ‘The Fall Off’ Album Release During MSG Anniversary Show

J. Cole’s fans are in a frenzy after he hinted that he would soon drop his much-anticipated album, The Fall Off. On Monday (December 16), during the celebration of his album at Madison Square Garden, 10 years after dropping it, the Dreamville star gave a tantalizing update.

“I’ll see y’all at Dreamville Festival. Hopefully, I’ll have something new to perform for y’all,” Cole told the crowd, fueling speculation The Fall Off could be dropping before the festival in April.

The anniversary event included a live performance of everything from 2014 Forest Hills Drive, with audiences singing along to other Cole hits like “Work Out,” “Power Trip,” and even more significant cuts such as “2Face,” “I Get Up,” and “Grown Simba.”

Its design appealed to his childhood home in Fayetteville, North Carolina, which was the famed backdrop for the cover of the 2014 Forest Hills Drive album. Following the course of such heritage, Cole gave tickets for the event to 2,014 fans for just $1, making the evening all the more special.

One of the most heartfelt moments of the show came when J. Cole asked the entire current audience to put an arm around each other before he performed “Note to Self.” And then he summed it up in this recollection for the future: “2024 has been totally insane, you know what I mean? And during times like this, seeing an image like this is just what a n-gga needs to see. Love in this muthafucka.”

With The Fall Off close on the horizon, eagerly awaiting fans know this will mean yet another history-making chapter in J. Cole’s career.
