Jay Master Jay’s murder trial to resume in 2023

It’s been 20 years since Run-DMC member Jay Master Jay lost his life to gun violence, and now it looks like justice will prevail. According to a report by Allhiphop on Wednesday (October 19), Karl Jordan Jr., who was charged with the murder alongside Ronald Washington, admitted to fatally shooting Jay during a chit chat with a witness.

“Jordan would often comment to Witness 5 that he had killed people, including Jordan insinuating that he had killed Mizell,” prosecutors revealed. “On one occasion, Jordan threatened Witness 5 with a gun and stated in substance that he would kill Witness 5 like he had killed Mizell.”

Born Jason Mizell, Jay Master Jay’s murder trial is slated to continue on February 23, 2023.

The DJ and producer was shot & killed in October 2002 at his Merrick Boulevard studio, Jamaica, Queens, reportedly over a drug-deal disagreement. He was 37 years old.
