Hov is NFL’s live music entertainment strategist
Jay-Z has been NFL’s music entertainment strategist since 2019 and has been producing Super Bowl halftime shows every year. However, the billionaire rapper has never headlined any of the shows himself.
During the debut of his new movie Book of Clearance, Entertainment Tonight asked Hov about the possibilities of headlining a Super Bowl Halftime show. “I don’t know,” he replied. “I thought it would be selfish to pick myself too early. Maybe one year. Maybe.”
Speaking on Usher headlining this year’s Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas, Hov added, “I think he’s gonna take his rightful place. He’s one of the greatest performers we’ve seen in our time and I think he’ll take his rightful place.”
