In April, it was announced that Kanye West‘s 21-years-in-the-making documentary was sold to Netflix to the tune of $30 million.
The Jeen-Yuhs doc is edging closer to a Netflix premiere, and the first teaser has arrived.
The three-part doc was created by filmmakers Clarence “Coodie” Simmons and Chike Ozah, who together run the company, Creative Control. Joining forces with TIME Studios, it’s been reported that Kanye West is not creatively involved with this documentary, despite allowing them to film him for over 20 years, according to Pitchfork.
“Jeen-Yuhs,” which translates to “genius,” has been used by many (himself included) to describe his worldly contributions. The doc will take an in-depth look at Ye‘s career, as well as personal moments, to give fans a different view of the 44-year-old, multitalented being.
