Kanye West adds another platinum plaque on his collection
Kanye West‘s fourth track on Donda album, “Off The Grid,” is now certified platinum by RIAA after earning 1 million copies in the US. The song features vocal contributions from Playboi Carti and Fivio Foreign.
Ye first played the song at a Belgian hotel in 2020 without Fivio Foreign’s verse. The record was thought to be part of Playboi Carti’s Whole Lotta Red, but didn’t appear on the album.
The Drill song was later played at Ye’s second Donda listening party in Atlanta August 2021, this time with Foreign’s verse. Ye debuted his additional verse at Chicago listening party later that month.
