Kendrick Lamar’s PGLang Company to Team With South Park Creators for Live-Action Comedy

Kendrick Lamar, , and South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker are putting together an all-new, live-action comedy movie.

According to Pitchfork, the movie is written by Vernon Chatman and distributed through Paramount Pictures. The movie will stream on the Paramount + APP.

The press release notes that production will be underway in the Spring.

Paramount Pictures’ press release states the following:

“The film will depict the past and present coming to a head when a young [B]lack man who is interning as a slave reenactor at a living history museum discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.”

“On behalf of Paramount Pictures and the wider ViacomCBS family, we look forward to ushering in the first theatrical collaboration from these creatives,” president and CEO of Paramount Pictures, Robbins stated. “And galvanizing audiences worldwide around a powerful storytelling experience.”

Kendrick, 34, has all eyes on him, as fans await his last and final Entertainment album release. There’s no set date as of yet, but, hopefully, 2022 will be the year. K. Dot’s last was released in 2017 when he dropped DAMN.
