Yak discussed feeling like hip-hop might turn against him, similar to the backlash Drake faced from Dot
Kodak Black talks about the so-called ‘hate train’ against him in the music industry. This week, during one of his Instagram Live sessions, the rapper from Florida shared his feeling that hip-hop soon turned on him, almost like the situation that happened with Drake when Kendrick Lamar challenged him.
“One day these nigguhs gon’ try to do me like Drake,” Kodak said. “Like they did Drake. Whole little hate Kodak campaign. Everybody who hate Kodak to the left. You see these nigguhs campaigning and shit.”
“But it’s love, he continued; “they show like I’m impressive. I’m a great friend to have and I ain’t friendly.”
The rapper’s comment suggests he knows and sees growing criticism, though he will not accept it and will continue to believe in himself and all his strength. Since competition and violence fill the Hip Hop world, still, the foresight of Kodak seems to signal more impending storms ahead, yet he’s all set to face them properly.
