Grammys to recognize influential masterpieces
Lauryn Hill and De La Soul’s contribution in Hip Hop to be recognized by the Recording Academy. According to the organization, Lauryn’s 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and De La Soul’s 1989 release 3 Feet High And Still Rising will be inducted into Grammy Hall Of Fame 2024 at an event on May 21 at the Novo Theater in LA.
“We’re proud to unveil the diverse mix of recordings entering the Grammy Hall Of Fame in its 50th year,” said Harvey Mason Jr., Recording Academy CEO.
“The music showcased here has played a pivotal role in shaping our cultural landscape, and it’s a true honor to recognize these albums and recordings, along with the profound influence each has had on music and beyond.”
