Lauryn Hill wants to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her debut album on the road
Lauryn Hill is planning to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her iconic album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, in style. During her performance at ONE Musicfest in Atlanta where she headlined on Saturday (October 8), Hill revealed she might go on tour to celebrate the two and half decades the album has been out for.
“25 years on, so we gonna be back with those songs the way you can recognize them, aye?” Hill told the screaming crowd.
The classic album hit the stores in August 1998 and landed on #1 on Billboard 200 with 422k copies sold in the first week. It has since been certified diamond by RIAA and is the highest selling album by a female rapper.
