Lauryn Hill‘s debut solo album ‘Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ has hit a new milestone
Released over two decades ago, Lauryn’s classic album has now been certified diamond, after it sold 10 000 000 units. RIAA recently announced the achievement on Twitter.
Miseducation of Lauryn Hill was the rapper’s first and last solo album. It was released in August 1998 and debuted at number one on Hot 200, selling over 420,000 units in the first week. The classic album received positive reviews and was critically-acclaimed.
Lauryn has now joined the diamond club in the music industry. Very few artists have accomplished this. Some of the albums that have gone diamond include Michael Jackson‘s Thriller, Adele’s 21, Britney Spears’ …Baby One More Time, Eminem‘s The Marshall Mathers LP, and 2Pac‘s All Eyez On Me. Congratulations to Lauryn Hill.
