Weezy’s 15-year-old son joins others in criticizing the rapper’s latest effort
Lil Wayne’s son, Neal, has made it clear he isn’t a fan of Lil Baby’s latest album, WHAM, and he’s not alone in his discontent. During a recent livestream, the 15-year-old, whose mother is R&B singer Nivea, responded to a fan who suggested he collaborate with Lil Baby, saying, “You gotta be out your goddamn mind. That n-gga dropped a terrible album. I’m not making a music video with him.” He continued, “Lil Baby’s not even butt, bruh. It’s just that album was terrible.”
Neal’s harsh criticism echoes sentiments from other notable figures. Media personality Akademiks also trashed WHAM, calling it “garbage” and claiming it “didn’t sound good, it didn’t look good.” Streamer Kai Cenat, who rated the album a 6 out of 10 on his Twitch channel, also shared his less-than-enthusiastic opinion.
In an interview with Complex, Lil Baby responded dismissively to Cenat’s review, suggesting the young streamer didn’t understand his music due to their age gap. Despite the criticism, WHAM debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, earning 140,000 equivalent units in its first week. Lil Baby has a busy 2025 ahead, with several new projects lined up.
