Metro Boomin’s ‘Heroes & Villains’ opens with impressive first week sales

Superstar producer Metro Boomin wins big with his new album, Heroes & Villains. The 15-song project debuts at the top of Billboard 200 this week after earning 182K equivalent album units, HitsDD reports. Released via Boominati Worldwide and Republic, the project is Metro’s biggest album in times of first-week sales.

Metro treated his new album with an outstanding rollout. He preceded the album with a short film that along with him, starred Morgan Freeman, Lakeith Stanfield, Young Thug, and Gunna. It featured direction from Gibson Hazard.

Metro also linked with Proto Hologram and Spotify for a live hologram event that featured him creating a beat. The event was virtually aired from Astro Studios in Atlanta and broadcast in Los Angeles and Miami.
