Nas to celebrate ‘Illmatic’ anniversary with tripple orchestra shows

Nas began his legendary career with the release of his debut studio album Illmatic in 1994, and last month marked the 30th anniversary of the iconic project.

Recently speaking to Billboard, the New York rapper revealed his partnership with the Las Vegas Philharmonic to hold three live orchestra shows in the Sin City to honor the anniversary. The shows will go down on August 29, August 31 and September 1.

“Las Vegas has always served as a creative outlet for my music, and these performances will take that to the next level,” Nas explained. “I am excited to partner with the Las Vegas Philharmonic to bring this first-of-its-kind performance to Encore Theater and to showcase my music to my fans in Las Vegas in a whole new way.”
