Cole had great words for Metro
Future and Metro Boomin lit up the hip-hop world last Friday with their new collab album, We Don’t Trust You. Kendrick Lamar is one of the features on the project and his verse has sparked discussions among fans as it captures the rapper dissing J. Cole and Drake.
“F*ck sneak dissin’, first person shooter, I hope they came with three switches,” K Dot flows on “Like That,” before adding, “think I won’t drop the location? I still got PTSD/ Motherf*ck the big three, n***a, it’s just big me/ N***a, bum, what? I’m really like that/ And your best work is a light pack.”
After the stint, a clip from last month has been making rounds where Cole speaks highly of Young Metro. “I was in the studio the other night and [Metro Boomin] was in there cooking up,” Cole says. “Everything is just like confident steps, you’re not judging it, you’re not thinking about it.”
