The actor-rapper responds to Cam’s controversial statements on Black actors in Hollywood

Cam’ron’s recent remarks about Black actors and their career struggles have sparked a fiery response from actor Omar Gooding. During an episode of It Is What It Is, Cam discussed veteran actors’ challenges, such as waiting to be cast rather than creating their own projects. In referencing Gooding, alongside Ving Rhames, Cam said, “Y’all n-ggas sitting around. I would have saved my money and shot my shit by now.”

Gooding, seemingly upset by the mention and the “junior” added to his name (likely a mix-up with Cuba Gooding Jr.), hit back with a diss track titled “Fix Ya Mouth” on January 25. In an Instagram post, he explained that while he’s not a fan of the word “diss,” he felt compelled to respond after mentioning his name. He also teased that the song was just a “teaser,” hinting at more.

Cam’ron, ever the troll, responded with a playful message filled with crying-laughing emojis, saying, “Lo[l] my bad bro. I don’t want no smoke.”

In other news, Cam’s making waves in Hollywood, reportedly joining Eminem for a cameo in Happy Gilmore 2, the upcoming sequel to the iconic Adam Sandler film.
