Playboi Carti readies the release of ‘Whole Lotta Red’ deluxe

Earlier in the year, Playboi Carti announced that the deluxe version of his sophomore album Whole Lotta Red is on the way. He recently shed more light on the forthcoming project. In an interview with Rolling Stones, Carti suggests that WLR deluxe is going to be a continuation of his sonic experimentations evident in the original version.

“That’s my job as of right now. This sound is something that’s going to be regular and relevant in the future,” he says. “That’s just part of creating something new. If this is something that people accept right away, how different is it?” Specifically talking about the deluxe, the Atlanta rapper claims the album is going to be another side of a monstrous body of work. “The deluxe is part two of a monster album,” he declares. “What they can expect from it is some great music. That’s it.”
