Quavo was reportedly present on a yacht that was involved in an armed robbery. Per Local 10 News, police used boats to respond to an armed robbery on a yacht that was docked near The Wharf and the 32-year-old Migos rapper was aboard. The robbery was reported to have happened before 9 p.m. near 114 SW N. River Drive.
According to police report, the group aboard was informed that the rental time was almost over when 39-year-old Cornell Whitfield of Texas, and 32-year-old Anteneh Workeneh of Georgia, grew “very aggressive” and demanded refund from the boat the captain and the boat crew. Whitfield then threatened to kill the captain and throw his body overboard if he turned the boat.
Whitfied robbed the captain of his $3,500 and a crew member of his $5,000 which he later retrieved. Although nobody was arrested in connection with the robbery, police detained several people for questioning. They also recovered two firearms on the scene but no arrests have been made on the same either.
“It shall be noted that although two firearms were located on scene, no threats were made with the firearms,” the police report says. “No cameras were located on the boat that faced where the alleged incident took place.”
