The Brooklyn Drill rapper is accused of shooting and wounding three people in March
Brooklyn Drill rapper 22Gz was picked up by police after landing at J.F. Kennedy airport earlier this week. According to New York Daily News, prosecutors said Tuesday that 22Gz, real name Jeffrey Alexander, was arrested on second-degree attempted murder charges.
The Sniper Gang signee reportedly shot three people on March 6 about 3:30 a.m. outside Club Freeze Cafe & Lounge on Flatbush Ave. in Marine Park. The victims, 21, 31, and 29-year olds, were hit in the leg, foot, and both legs respectively. All the three identified the ‘’Twirlanta” rapper as the shooter.
On Monday (June 13), a grand jury handed down a seven-count indictment in which 22Gz is charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment and assault for the March shooting. His bond was set at $500,000.
