The Notorious B.I.G.’s original rap name was M.C. CWest or M.C. Quest

Before Christopher Wallace was known as The Notorious B.I.G., Biggie or, Biggie Smalls his first rap name was M.C. CWest (pronounced and sometimes spelled Quest). Biggie Smalls came from a character in the 1975 Sidney Poitier and Bill Cosby movie Let’s Do It Again.
