Weeknd Reveals Release Date for Psychological Thriller ‘Hurry Up Tomorrow’
The Weeknd is all set to bring his vision to the big screen in 2025 with the announcement of his highly awaited psychological thriller, Hurry Up Tomorrow. Abel Tesfaye made the film’s release date public on Instagram on Friday, December 20, indicating that the film would premiere in theaters on May 16, 2025.
This cinematic execution will accompany an album by The Weeknd of the same name, released next month. The film sets to chill a spine-tingling tale written and directed by Trey Edward Shults. This is to be in line with the dark, atmospheric style that The Weeknd more notoriously does have.
The thriller also stars Barry Keoghan, known from The Killing of a Sacred Deer. Wednesday’s Jenna Ortega and, of course, The Weeknd himself star alongside each other. Little is known about the plot, but it is presumably going to be a psychological trip associated with the aura given by his new album.
Hurry Up Tomorrow is indeed a well-cooked combination of music and film. The Weeknd seems to be expanding the borders of his artistry and, with it, the experience of his audience. With both the film and the album release contingent, excitement will surely keep building around these projects.
