The Weeknd makes history with After Hours Till Dawn Tour
Canadian singer The Weeknd reportedly earned the highest gross from a single show by a black artist during one of his stops on After Hours Till Dawn Tour. According to Twitter account Touring Data, the multi-award-winning artist made $11.132 million from 49,324 tickets sold at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, September 2.
Weeknd, along with San Benito, are said to be “the only artists in the 21st century to earn $10 million from a single show.”
After Hours Till Dawn Tour marks the acclaimed artist’s seventh concert trek, and supports his last two albums, 2020‘s After Hours and 2022’s Dawn FM. With support from Kaytranada, Snoh Aalegra and Mike Dean, Weeknd began the 21-show tour on July 14 and will stop on November 27. Tour Data adds that The Weeknd has made $97 million from 616k tickets sold on 13 out of the 21 tour dates.
