Drake’s pal faces six charges related to firearms after being detained by police
Toronto rapper Top5, whose real name is Hassan Ali, has been arrested by the Toronto Police Service and is facing several charges related to firearms. The 25-year-old was taken into custody on Friday (January 24) and is charged with six offenses: Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device; Possession of a Weapon; Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm; Possession of a Firearm Knowing Its Possession is Unauthorized; and Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition.
Top5’s initial court appearance was set for 10 A.M. on Saturday (January 25), though no further details on the proceedings have emerged.
This arrest follows a tense warning earlier this month from Wack 100, who advised Drake to distance himself from the rapper. Despite the warning, the OVO Sound superstar was recently seen attending a Toronto Raptors game with Top5, posting a video together on Instagram from the event.
Top5, who was previously released from jail after beating a first-degree murder charge last September, has remained in the spotlight for his association with Drake and his controversial statements.
