Common says ‘Be’ changed his life

It’s no secret that Be is one of Common’s finest albums, and on its 19th anniversary, the Chicago rapper reiterated this fact. This week, the rapper penned a tribute for the album on Instagram before showing gratitude to Kanye West and J Dilla for their contribution on the LP.

“I was reminded that yesterday was the 19th anniversary for Be,” he wrote. “Be changed my life and it’s amazing how many people come to me young and old who tell me they were inspired by that album. Give Thanks To The Most High.

Ye has found some peace in his turbulent life

Kanye West has had his fair share of problems in his life, and the past few years haven’t been any better. However, during a recent interview with Hypebeast magazine, Ye revealed that he is currently a very happy man.

“This is the happiest I’ve ever been in my life,” he explained. “I’m with my wife, with Aus Taylor, my visual director at YZY, with Dov Charney. All year, I’ve been with loved ones, doing it independently ourselves.”

He added, “The thing is, wind can blow a house down but a bird still needs wind to fly. So without the wind, there’s no flying.”

  • Travis Scott Teases Collaboration with Kanye West

Travis Scott Teases Collaboration with Kanye West

Former Grammy nominated rapper Travis Scott took to social media this afternoon to post a short video of Kanye West aka ‘Ye’ featuring unreleased music from the duo.

The caption for the post reads ‘YE & THE JACK’ while also tagging former collaborator Gabriel Moses. Gabriel is a renowned photographer and filmmaker and has worked with popular brands such as Dior, Apple, and Nike as well as directing the FE!N Music Video off of Travis Scott’s Utopia album. Could this be a hint of new music from Ye and Travis?

    Here’s what we know

The teaser video was posted shortly after Travis unveiled his new signature Nike shoe the Cactus Jack T-Rexx. So there is a possibility of it being some sort of fashion drop (being how involved Travis and Ye have been in the fashion industry for a majority of their careers).

However there is some speculation that it could be promotion for merch AND a new music.

Long time music photographer and videographer Saint léon (who has been considered a Ye insider for many as he works closely with Kanye West, Yeezy and other music artists) posted on his Instagram story, “Can confirm it’s a new song + promotion for 🌵”.

This collaboration may add to the confusion of Ty Dolla $ign and Kanye’s second collab album Vultures 2 release, (that was supposedly set to drop May 3rd) with many wondering if Ty will be featured along with Travis and could possibly be the lead single for the second Vultures tape.

Time will tell, we will update you and this article as we receive updates!

Kanye West opens up on his current relationship with Pusha T

Ye says he recently spoke to King Push

Kanye West speaks about his correlation with Pusha T for the first time since the Clipse rapper left G.O.O.D Music in late 2022 on the grounds of Ye’s antisemitic comments.

“I just spoke with Pusha the other day. It was good to talk to him. It was the first time talking to him in a couple months. We made good music together,” Ye recently said on Justin Laboy’s The Download podcast.

“I thought that somehow because I made beats and made music for somebody that when I couldn’t see my children, these people would use their platform. ‘Cause I used my platform on their behalf,” he continued.

“Now I realize no one owes me anything […] If you depend on somebody who is not giving you what you need, you’re the one that’s in the wrong.”

Rich The Kid recalls Kanye West offering to executive-produce his next album

Ye was interested in Rich’s album following their No. 1 hit

Rich The Kid opens up about how Kanye West took over the responsibility of executive-producing his upcoming album, Life’s A Gamble. According to the “Save That” rapper, everything got in motion after their Vultures hit “Carnival” occupied the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100.

“The day the song went No. 1, Ye DM’ed me,” Rich recently told Complex. “He’s like, “I want to executive produce the project with me and Ty and shit.” So I was like, “Hell yeah, let’s do it.” So we’ve been in the studio day in, day out, cooking up and perfecting the sound.”

He added, “a lot of the project was already there. We were just reworking stuff, perfecting the sound.”

Rich The Kid addresses Elliot Wilson’s remarks that he was ‘lucky’ to appear on ‘Carnival’ – ‘I made this song’

Rich demands recognition of his ‘Carnival’ contribution

Rich The Kid didn’t take Elliot Wilson’s comments that the Rich Forever rapper was “lucky” to be featured on Kanye West & Ty Dolla $ign’s No. 1 hit “Carnival” very well.

“I kind of felt a way about that because I made this song, we made this song. I went in the booth, I recorded it, I didn’t write it down, just freestyled it, and we made magic,” Rich explained to Complex’s Jordan Rose. “And now you’re talking about I’m lucky like the words didn’t come out of my mouth, like I ain’t say it. How the fuck am I lucky? I chose the beat. It was like, get off my dick.”

Rich added that Elliot should’ve applauded his effort on the track. “Like, ‘sounds like he perfected the sound. This is crazy. Production is crazy.’ He should have said that,” he said. “‘I’ve seen Rich work forever and he’s been grinding,’ but you going to say some shit like ‘you lucky?’ Come on bro. You too old for that shit, but it’s all love bro. It went No. 1.”

Jay-Z & Kanye West’s ‘No Church In The Wild’ guitarist says he pocketed more cash from the record than he earned in his 50-year career

Hov & Ye’s ‘No Church In The Wild’ was a massive hit

Phil Manzanera, former Roxy Music guitarist who contributed on Jay-Z and Kanye West’s “No Church In The Wild,” claims the amount of money he made from the track surpasses everything he made during his 50-year career. The track was part of Hov and Ye’s 2011 joint album, Watch The Throne.

“’No Church in the Wild’ was the first track [of Watch the Throne], with my guitar riff playing throughout the whole song and included vocals by Frank Ocean and The-Dream,” Manzanera wrote in his recent memoir Revocíon Roxy who’s excerpt was shared by iNews.

“The album went gold in the UK and Italy, and platinum in the United States and Denmark,” he added. “It was used in the trailer and in a scene in the film The Great Gatsby, was in an advertisement for Audi cars, and in another TV ad for Dodge Dart which ran in the half-time break of the Super Bowl.”

Boosie Badazz demands his flowers following Kanye West’s all music styles invention claim

Boosie believes he deserves more recognition

Kanye West recently made the headlines when he claimed to be the inventor of all music genres in the past 20 years. Boosie Badazz was quick to take offense.

The Louisiana rapper hopped on Instagram live lamenting that the rap community tends to credit Ye for his influence while turning a blind eye to the “Wipe Me Down” hit-maker’s contribution to the culture.

“You know how many rappers I raised out there, bro?” Boosie asked. “Like, who don’t give me my flowers. Everybody quiet bro. They don’t wanna be looked at, they don’t wanna be on my side and be looked at like you supporting Boosie. That’s what I be thinking it is. But, they’ll give Kanye his flowers, people like that. But, Boosie, you know.”
