    Lil Durk confirms his next album will be ‘No Auto Durk’ with Metro Boomin

    Lil Durk & Metro Boomin’s joint album is on the way

    Lil Durk just dropped the deluxe of his seventh studio album, 7220, and he already has plans for his next project. During a recent interview with Ebro on Apple Music’s Beats 1 Radio, Smurk confirmed his next big release will be his long-awaited collab album with Metro Boomin, No Auto Durk.

    ‘’I gotta ask about the album, even though we just get the deluxe,’’ Ebro asked before Durk replied, ‘’As far as next album? You might’ve heard something, no, it’s really with Metro.’’ Ebro continued, ‘’We can expect the next Lil Durk project to be the Metro project that we all heard about?’’

    The ‘’Computer Murderers’’ rapper then responded while referencing the 2020 leaking of the project, ‘’Guaranteed. They got it leaked, y’all heard it, it’s on another level.’’

    After a fan asked about the joint album on Twitter in March this year, Metro revealed it’s still underway and that he’d talked to Durk about it. “Yes still otw we spoke about it the other day,” he wrote. DJ Akademiks shared this update on his Instagram page and Durk commented, ‘’Nobody Safe.’’

    Lil Durk first teased the album in February 2020 when he shared a photo of a billboard with the message: ‘’NO AUTO DURK PRODUCED BY METRO BOOMIN ALBUM COMING SOON.’’

    Speaking to Beats 1 the same year, Durk described the upcoming project as ‘’turned up.’’ “Metro don’t make himself highly accessible,” Durk said while explaining about working with Metro. “For you to be different, to have Metro, it’s like bet. You do Metros with the Drakes, Futures, Thugs, 21 Savages, everybody don’t get a Metro by themselves.”

    Chris Brown’s album predicted to miss out on the top of the charts

    Chris Brown released his first album in three years, Breezy, on Friday, the same day Lil Durk dropped 7220 deluxe. According to HITS Daily Double, Breezy is on pace to sell 60-70k units in the first week, which will see him losing the number one spot contest to Lil Durk and Country singer Luke Combs, who’re both projected to move 65-75k units.

    Breezy is Chris Brown’s tenth studio album and follows up 2019’s Indigo. The 23-track project was stacked with features from Lil Durk, Capella Grey, Fivio Foreign, Lil Wayne, Yung Bleu, Lil Baby, Wizkid, H.E.R., Bryson Tiller, Ella Mai, EST Gee, Jack Harlow, Blxst and Tory Lanez.

    Durk’s 7220 deluxe came with 14 songs with features from Moneybagg Yo, EST Gee, Doodie Lo, A Boogie wit da Hoodie, and Ella Mai. The standard version of the album was released in March with Future, Gunna, Summer Walker, and Morgan Wallen as guest appearances. It debuted atop Billboard 200 earning 120k units in the first week.

    Lil Durk is stirring up the airwaves with the deluxe version of his album, 7220. While everyone is enjoying the album, it looks like some of Durk’s adversaries are also loving it. King Yella, an affiliate of Durk’s rival crew Fly Boy Gang (FBG), shared a video of him vibing to the first track on the deluxe, ‘’So What’’ in the traffic.

    ‘’I don’t care what people gotta say man,’’ Yella said while the song in the background began. ‘’I fuck with Lil Durk music man, you know. I know they gon hate. Hey Durk the voice of the trenches, voice of the ghetto.’’

    Yella has been swaying towards the positive direction lately. He recently challenged other rappers to make music without dissing their rivals.

    Lil Durk’s ‘7220’ deluxe tracklist boasts fourteen songs

    Lil Durk is dropping the deluxe version of his album 7220 tonight (June 24). Smurk shared on Thursday (June 23) a 14-song tracklist for the forthcoming project with features from Moneybagg Yo, Est Gee, Doodie Lo, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, and Ella Mai. It includes previously released singles ‘’Computer Murderers,’’ and ‘’Did Shit To Me.’’

    The tracklist contradicts Durk’s earlier announcement that the project will feature 13 songs. Smurk had also revealed that his kids helped him pick songs for the tracklist. “My kids picked my deluxe I believe in they ears 24th June,” he wrote on Instagram story.

    Lil Durk & Doodie Lo join forces in new music video

    Chicago rapper continues to apply pressure as he comes through with a brand new record featuring fellow Illinois and OTF rapper Doodie Lo. Titled ”Did Shit To Me,” the Jerry Production video premiered on Wednesday (June 22).

    The visuals feature the two MCs flexing stacks of cash, jewelry, and luxury cars.     Lil Durk is having an incredible year and he is not about to slow down. The rapper recently announced that the deluxe version of his third studio album, 7220, will be dropping on June 24. Smurk made the revelation during his Apple Music show performance.

    ‘’LIL DURK’S ALBUM 7220 DELUXE,’’ read a message that appeared on the stage. ‘’DROPPING ON APPLE MUSIC JUNE 24.’’ The Chicago Wave broke the news on Instagram early Sartuday (June 18) and Lil Durk himself liked the post.

    Smurk is gearing up to go on the road for his 7220 Deluxe Tour that’ll begin on September 17 in Oklahoma City, OK, and end in Seatle, WA. The 15-date trek is produced by Live Nation Entertainment. The standard version of the album was released in March and debuted atop of the Billboard 200 earning 120,000 album-equivalent units in the first week.

    Chicago drill rapper Lil’ Durk’s album was released on Christmas Eve of 2020. The album was released on Alamo Records and featured Young Thug, 6lack, and is a tribute to King Von. The album came about after Durk deactivated his social media following the death of Von in an Atlanta shootout with Quando Rondo’s people.

    The album debuted at 46 on Billboard and received mixed reviews. The album’s title track was a standout in addition to the single “Backdoor” that announced Durk’s return in December 2020.

    During the FULL SEND PODCAST, Durk, 29, breaks down why his verse was so short. He stated the entire process of the song happened rather quickly because of the pandemic and studio restrictions.

    “I ain’t gonna lie, I need it tonight,” Durk said Drake told him during a facetime call, as he played the song for him. “It was the beginning of the pandemic so it was like the studio closing down early… He on a time schedule. He was like ‘I need it back right now. I did some quick ass s**t. I left the studio, and he called me back, like, ‘man this s**t hard, put eight more bars on it. Ima drop it ASAP. I was telling him like, ‘the studio closed cause of the pandemic.”

    Durk said, “that was like the best eight bars I did, ever in my life.”

    During the first week of November, the song shot to the top of the Billboard charts to take the number one spot.
