Lil Tjay is confident in his sophomore album’s ability

Lil Tjay is on a mission to achieve greatness in the rap field. He has been teasing his sophomore album since last year, and now his fans won’t have to wait any longer. On Wednesday (March 24), the 19-year-old crooner announced on Instagram that his album titled Destined 2 Greatness will arrive on April 2, sharing its 21-song tracklist as well.

“My second album ‘Destined 2 Win’ is dropping on 4/2 !!,” the Trench Kid wrote in the caption. “I just wanna say thank ya for being patient with me. I wanted to give ya the best body of work I can.” He continued, “Run it up and I’ll drop the features. The album of the year is here.”

To celebrate the launch of his highly-anticipated album, Tjay will unite with LiveXLive Media for the ‘Lil Tjay Experience’ on March 31 at 8 PM ET. The event will be available for pay-per-view on the global streaming platform. Tickets can be purchased at the LiveXLive website, where they will also be selling merchandise.

Lil Tjay has so far released two singles off the forthcoming album. On Valentine’s weekend, he dropped the infectious “Calling My Phone” featuring Atlanta’s 6Lack. The track debuted at No. 3 on Billboard Hot 100, making it the highest-charting record for both artists. The Brooklyn native dropped the second single “Headshot” last Friday (March 19), tapping Fivio Foreign and Polo G for features.

Lil Tjay busted for gun and marijuana possession

Bronx rapper Lil Tjay couldn’t get away from the feds this time as he was reportedly pulled over in Brooklyn for switching lanes without signaling. According to TMZ, on Wednesday, December 30th, police officers smelled marijuana from the vehicle that Tjay was riding in with four other individuals.

The cops consequently searched the car and found four loaded handguns and large quantities of marijuana. None of them claimed ownership of the items, they were then hit with possession and grand larceny charges. It’s unclear why they are facing the latter charge.

The incident happened four days after the State of Emergency rapper’s music video shoot was busted by police. NYPD claimed that they were responding to a call that there were people waving guns. Lil Tjay and his associates were searched but nothing was found on them and they weren’t charged.

It’s not clear if the rapper is still in custody. Stay tuned for more details.

Lil Tjay was busted by New York police during a music video shoot on Saturday night (December 26) in NY. The incident was recorded on Tjay’s phone all through.

Cops can be seen surrounding the Bronx rapper and his associates. The ‘State of Emergency’ rapper was sitting in a car while the feds searched his associate. He is later asked to step out of the car, before asking them what for. Tjay then passes his phone to his friend in the car who kept recording, before the 19-year old complied.

Upon stepping out of the car, the ‘Zoo York’ spitter keeps his hands in the air while being searched. It’s not clear how the incident ended, but Tjay later posted a photo on Instagram captioning it “All good everybody …stay safe y’all goodnight”.

The NYPD hasn’t issued a statement on the situation yet, stay tuned for more details in case they’re availed.

Lil Tjay is preparing to take over

New York rapper Lil Tjay dropped his mixtape State Of Emergency in May that included the smash hit Zoo York featuring Pop Smoke & Fivio Foreign. It seems the project was only a preparation for a bigger bombshell.

The Laneswitch rapper has a new album on the way and it is already done. Tjay made the announcement on his Instagram page a few hours ago, assuring his fans that he’s taking over 2020. “Spent the last couple months pouring out my heart into this album. It’s finally done!!” wrote the rapper.

After a lengthy caption expressing his excitement about the upcoming project and his appreciation to his fans, the FN rapper revealed the plans he has for this year. “im taking over this year Nd can’t nobody stop me. It’s up!” Tjay captioned two photos of him chilling outdoors.

The project will be the Bronx native’s sophomore studio album. He released his debut album True 2 Myself in October last year and it received generally positive reviews. Are you looking forward to Lil Tjay’s next project?
